The Rams acquired one of the best young cornerbacks in the NFL last week - trading for former Chiefs' corner Marcus Peters. After becoming the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2015, Peters was a first-team All-Pro in 2016.

Get to know one the newest Rams below with Peters' career by the numbers:

1 Since he entered the league in 2015, Peters is No. 1 among all cornerbacks in interceptions and passes defensed.

2 Pro Bowls, in 2015 and 2016. The cornerback was first named to the Pro Bowl after his rookie season in 2015, when he recorded a league-leading eight interceptions en route to winning AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.

2 career interceptions returned for a touchdown. Both times Peters recorded a pick six came in 2015. The first was a 55-yard touchdown against the Broncos and the second a 90-yard touchdown against the Ravens.

3 seasons played. In just three years, the cornerback has recorded 151 tackles, 55 passes defensed, and 19 interceptions.

5 games played with at least two interceptions.

6 forced fumbles.

18 Peters was the 18th overall pick in the 2015 draft. While at Washington, the cornerback recorded eight interceptions and 99 tackles in two seasons.

19 interceptions during the regular season, which puts him at No. 1 among all active corners. Including playoff games, Peters has five more interceptions than any other player since 2015.

21 interceptions recorded when playoff games are factored in. In the last 25 years, only safety Ed Reed (22) has more interceptions than Peters over the first three seasons of a player's career.

55 passes defensed, the most among all active cornerbacks in the last three seasons.

60.7 overall passer rating - the second-lowest in the league. Only Jaguars cornerback A.J. Bouye (49.1) has a allowed a lower passer rating in coverage than Peters since 2015.

480 total yards returned from Peters' 19 interceptions.
